Will we ever know what happened before the big bang

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-05-10] [Hit: ]
if you are arguing for the big Bang then you believe the universe expands at the bang and will eventually contract again until it becomes so dense it goes bang again. So maybe it was another universe that contracted until it went bang again over and over again. I dont know about ever but we dont really know now that it was a big bang for sure much less what came before. I dont really think any evidence could survive such an event to give us a clue. Even if it did would we recognize it billions of years after the fact??......
Other than that, nothing is 100% sure, and we are not sure if we will ever know what happened at the beginning, because we are not sure whether there is life after death.

Well, if you are arguing for the big Bang then you believe the universe expands at the bang and will eventually contract again until it becomes so dense it goes bang again. So maybe it was another universe that contracted until it went bang again over and over again. I don't know about ever but we don't really know now that it was a big bang for sure much less what came before. I don't really think any evidence could survive such an event to give us a clue. Even if it did would we recognize it billions of years after the fact??? Not at our current level of tech.

As we learn more and more about the Planck Time, it looks like our main problem is a proper understanding of gravity. That is what stops us from understanding what goes on at and before the Planck Time.

It is possible that IF (a big if) we ever get a good understanding of quantum gravity, we will be able to better understand what went on (or what COULD have been going on) before the Planck Time.

It is an ABSOLUTE certainty that no one living now will know. And since no one was there, it is doubtful that anyone will ever know for sure. With continued research and investigation, mankind will develop a real THEORY instead of a HYPOTHESIS. We don't have enough evidence or information for theories.

-
I don't think we will ever come up with a theory which can be supported by evidence that we gather without help. No, not aliens... something that exists. Computers have the potential to help us come up with a really likely explanation of the first few instants of existence. Given the steady increase in computer "schmartz" (sorry to use technical jargon) in less than a generation, computers will be smarter than most people and in two or three, smarter than everyone else... maybe even smarter than me. Or is it "I"? Grammar is silly. But she bakes nice pies.

No, Because scientist believe that No human beings were born before the big bang, But the say dinosaurs were extinct maybe like that, that's just a theory :)

-
I think maybe yes, with our greater understanding of the universe we can be safe to assume we will know one day in the future what happened before the big bang.

-
Maybe.

It seems like no now, but when you look at all the discoveries we have made, I doubt anything is a "100% never."
