Trying to decide on a major.

I’ve been taken a few astronomy and physics classes and am finding it quite enjoyable. Aced all so far and would like to keep studying on the matter. Unfortunately I get a feeling that if I continue on this path it will do me no good. As of right now I'm not looking at doing college for the next 10 or so years. If I was to get a B.S. with an emphasis in Astronomy what good does it hold in it of its self? I may go for a masters/PHD down the road, but for now I would like to just take a break from school after completing my B.S. Working in such field would be wonderful just, not sure how far a B.S. can actually get you. Any advice on this matter would be appreciated, thanks...

With a BS in astronomy, you could teach high school in some states (although not many teach astronomy, so you'd be teaching physics, most likely), work at a museum, or work for a lab or observatory either reducing data or running telescopes. Other than that, you can get a job not related to astronomy. If you want to do research in the field, you'd major in physics and then go to grad school in physics or astronomy. And a physics major can have a ton of applications and pay well where astronomy isn't as likely to.
