It s not evan a full day,i think the sun stays a bit to less on our view.When night time comes,i feel like no sleeping,but dragging myself to a fancy club,or get a hot date,not sleeping at night,oh and you can sleep during the day,so why cant the sun remain on Earth lets say like 48 hours?Must have skipped the astronomy and space lesson,thanks!

The Sun never moves. The Earth revolves around the Sun and the rotation of the earth about its axis creates the dark and light periods. It is dark when the part of Earth you are on is out of the way of the linear sun rays.

Answered your own question there. The earth spins on its axis once every 24 hours and orbits the sun every 365 days. Been that way for 100's of millions of years. Not likely to change any time soon.
