and formed 4.6 billion years ago. Would you expect more, less or the same amount of geological activity that there is today on this "Super Earth"?
Explain your reasoning.

More — much more.

The reason Mars is a dead planet is because it is too small to retain a molten core. No gooy center, no convection, no tectonics, no geologic activity. The reason Olympus Mons is so tall is because without plate tectonics the same crust sat over the hot spot until the spot cooled (Or nearly so. There are flows as young as two million years. That's new in geologic terms.). It had half a billion years to form. Earth volcanos have in the hundreds of thousands to low million years to form

An Earth eight times bigger would hardly be cooled yet. There would be volcanos all over the place and plate tectonics experts would suggest seat belt usage.

Well this would all depend on the size, or if there would even be a liquid core. Planets this size would implode on themselves probably unless they were made of gases. If it was possible to have a solid structure, the lifeforms on this planet would have to be smaller to withstand the force of gravity due to the size and strength relationship. GO TEAM ENGINEER

Less. The more massive a planet is, the more gravity there is. There would be no life on Earth if it were that massive.

I'd have to ask a geologist or Earth science student who wasn't cheating on google...they'd probably know.
