I mean, of course we went to the moon. Why are the so much people who don't believe we really did when we obviously did?

Some people are just stupid. Others just enjoy controversy. Some are just ignorant and don't know all the facts. They hear one fool spouting off that we didn't go and just blindly believe it. When presented with all the facts only a brain dead moron could possibly believe we never sent people to the Moon.

Not saying I do or don't, you just asked why people think that way so here are some of the reasoning:
I think that a lot of people look at the track record of Nasa, and say, they can't send up a telescope (hubble) with a working lens, their probes crash into things (the moon), don't function (mars rover), and they doubt that they could have had a flawless moon landing with equipment that was pretty basic (less computing power than a calculator) all mapped out with slide rules and pencils.
I also think that they feel that the timing was kind of convinient. Russia was kicking our bu77 in the space race, the only thing left was the moon for us to do first and if we lost that we would be in bad shape (ideologically), so they feel that if we can't have actually done it first, it is reasonable to assume that we would have faked it just to beat the Russians, rather than lose.
I feel another reason is that there are lots of instances of our government doing crappy things, so for some it is not beyond imagination for them to do a such disreputable thing.

I don't think there are many people who believe we never went to the moon. In fact, I didn't know anyone questioned the moon landing until I joined yahoo answers.
