but you REALLY have everything wrong. The sun created the universe with the big bang, huh? No, everything, EVERYTHING was created by the big bang.......

Ok, you have everything wrong...no offense, but you REALLY have everything wrong. The sun created the universe with the big bang, huh? No, everything, EVERYTHING was created by the big bang. The sun was then created by some floating cloud of gas and debris called a nebula. Some disruption in the perfect balance of pressure, heat, etc. caused the whole thing to collapse into a giant swirling disc of death, and in the center the heaviest elements that were in the nebula coalesced into a violent ball of very hot chemical reactions that gives off lots of photons, radiation, heat, etc. The other stuff swirling around the sun-ball coalesced into planets.

You might just want to consider your question answered and stop reading, but ah, what the hell: And the thing about "it could just be endless pitch black or white nothing." In some other parallel universe thing or whatever or just some other random universe, color might not exist at all, so you would have no black or white. And about the "white nothing"...white light is every color (and before you say anything, black is no color, so what I just said is kinda wrong...), so white is the opposite of nothing... Assuming for the moment that other universes are possible (which there really would be no reason why not, and there's not much in the way of testing this) they might not even have time or...space...there are really no rules in all this theoretical crap.

After reading the other answers...well, mine was really the only answer, in my opinion, lol. You want to know how both the big bang theory can be proved plausible? Before the universe even came about, before anything started, there was no time. With the start of the universe came the start of both space and TIME. For a cause and effect sequence to take place, it requires time. Examples: This log burnt into ash. It didn't just incinerate in a single moment, it took time to burn all the way through. Nothing needed a cause to create the effect because time didn't exist while they were coming about. You wanna try to make sense of that? Good luck...

Just saw Alexis' answer...wanted to clear something up real quick, a singularity is a single point in space. It has no dimensions, no height, no width, anything. What it does have is infinite density. (good luck understanding that lol)

And saw the second additional details...what's wrong with mine?

Oh lol ok, sry it's what I do and seeing as I have a constant 30+% best answer, it was kinda workin' out for me :)
