NO MOON last two nights

I haven't actually checked the phase, but the answer, assuming you are right, is probably that you were simply looking at the wrong time of day. The moon goes through a complete set of phases roughly every 28 days. Starting with the new moon, there are a couple of days when the moon is so close in the sky to the sun that it is very difficult to see. (The moon rises and sets at very much the same time as the su does.) That might possibly be your problem. After that, the moon moves away from the sun in the sky, in such a way that it rises later and later in the day. After a few days, by the time the sun sets, the moon is already reasonably high in the sky. That is the time of the month when it is easiest to see.

After about a fortnight, the moon is rising just as the sun sets, so you don't necessarily see it at first, but you will if you hang about for a few hours after dark. It will be a full moon at this point.

For the next week, the moon keeps rising later and later, until it is a half moon which doesn't rise until midnight. Your best chance of seeing it then is first thing in the morning, before the sun rises. It will be highest in the sky just at sunrise.

For the remaining week of the one-month cycle, the moon carries on rising later and later in the morning hours, and its illuminated section turns into a thinner and thinner crescent. It gets closer and closer in the sky to the sun, which makes it progressively harder to see, until eventually, at the end of the cycle, it is pretty much aligned with the sun again, and the cycle restarts with a new moon.

So, to cut a long story short, if you can'y find the moon in the evening sky, try getting up before sunrise, and having a look in the morning sky.

First of all you mean: :Why 'WAS' the moon not in the sky the last two nights" and Second, there was a moon the last two nights...you probably just weren't in an area where you could see it OR the weather was really cloudy that day. Seriously, learn some things, if there really was no moon, the world would not be functioning right now.
