Why is it we know so much about galaxies but know little about our solar system

I know we know a lot about our solar system but why is it that our solar system is a bigger mystery than galaxies millions of billions light years away from us? It took a while to discover that there are more orbiting objects around the sun past Pluto that we can't even determine the actual surface of, yet we are certain that there is a super massive black hole in the middle of our galaxy hurling at 75 mph towards another galaxy.

Well, the thing is, we know a lot about the "big" parts of galaxies, such as stars and black holes, because they either emit light, or have large effects that we can see. But we know very little about the little parts such as planets, because they are small, and do not emit any light or other types of waves. Similarly, the things in our own solar system are very small, do not emit any light, and do not emit any waves, so they are difficult to detect.

Because we look at other solar systems externally where in our own we are in the middle fairly close to the sun in comparison to pluto looking out of our solar system

Your perception is an illusion. This is so because you are arriving to conclusion based on what YOU do/don't know.
