i plan on skydiving in the future and i have seen some people get near clouds and sometimes even go through them is it safe? and has anybody done it to be able to tell me how it is? im fascinated with clouds and would love to go through one skydiving just to experience it but if its not safe i would like to know beforehand

It is safe, depending on the cloud. However, if you fall into one, you are in trouble of two dangers; turbulence and unknown loss of altitude. I heard a story of a guy that fell into a cloud, popped his chute because he was unaware of his altitude, and the turbulence in the cloud pulled him right back up. He had to dump his primary, free fall to a dangerous level, then pull his secondary.

On 2 August 1947, the Avro Lancaster based airliner Star Dust was navigating above the cloud layer over the Chilean mountains but they did not know about the Jet Stream in those days so their navigation was way off. They descended through the clouds only to discover a glacier. Their last message by morse code was read as STENDEC STENDEC STENDEC. It's now believed that they realized they were off course and started calling to what they thought would be the nearest air control tower which would've been VALP, a message of VALP VALP VALP would look an awful lot like STENDEC STENDEC STENDEC in morse code. The glacier swallowed the remains so the plane was not found till 1998 when the glacier released the plane many miles away.

Make sure there's nothing in the cloud. There may also be turbulence, ice particles and lighning in the cloud. You can loose your bearing and not know which way is up thereby being in the wrong position to release a chute. You could also misjudge when to release your chute. You should not do it till you are very experienced with skydiving, it's not for your first dive.
