You get the pot of gold there mate. A rainbow is the result of light passing through moisture and the water vapor is a prism which creates the colors.
I don't know enough about comets or meteors but I don't think you can see them very well during the day when you see rainbows.

An optical illusion caused by sunlight on raindrops cannot colour anything. You do ask some pretty trollish questions :).
