Do you believe in God? Why or why not

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 12-11-24] [Hit: ]
.. Thanks in advance.-Yes I believe in God. Because I was temporarily deaf in one ear and I went to a church service and the pastor prayed over my ear next thing my eardru popped and I could hear. I believe their is a supernatural God that exists.......
We all know that God is a possibility, so no answers like man created God or that religion is stupid and such. I know there's smart people in this section of Astronomy & Space, so I expect intellectual answers with science. Your answers will help me analyze... Thanks in advance.

Like I said, you never even considered the possibility that God might not exist... And this dishonesty is what I hate the most in religion.

No, because there is no evidence that he exists and there is a logical explanation for the universe's creation without the need to invent a deity.

I identify myself as an Agnostic-Atheist. I'm an Atheist because I personally don't believe in any deity, and I'm Agnostic because I think the existence or nonexistence of a god is unknowable right now.

Yes,

how arrogant we would have to be to think that humans are for some reason the ultimate beings in existence.

Existence is so HUUUUGE, there must be a God there somewhere.

He surely exists. We just can't prove it yet.

Noone has ever seen outside the universe, so God could exist there for all we know.

God is at least as good an explanation for the universe than any other explanation.

There are billions of bilions of stars. So it is 100% certain that God definitely exists.

LOL.

But getting serious now: The philosophical God is in every way a philosophically valid concept. That being so, it is possible to construct a theology that firstly proposes that God exists, then go on to determine the implications. Note very carefully that this philosophical God does not necessarily align with any of the astonishing variety of gods claimed by the multitudes of religions on this planet. At most, one and one only of the gods of all these religions qualifies as the real God. But which one? Which religion looks least like it was constructed to pander to the human greed for power and influence, and hence does not have a hidden agenda to empower despots?
