A lot of what it says for the positive and negative seem to be right on dead accurate. Please share your experiences with numerology, and give me your reasons for believing or not believing in it. Thanks! Also I would appreciate an explanation from somebody who knows a lot about it to what exactly it is in the first place Thanks! I appreciate any and ALL answers :)-Pythagoras believed in it,......
Do you? I don't know if I do. At least not for the name one, but maybe the date of birth one. My life path number is 34/7. I appreciate any and ALL answers :)

Pythagoras believed in it, and so did many of his followers, so Numerology has a long history...

The modern version is crap. Often, the numbers and their meanings will seem to fit virtually any individual, but it's more a kind of self-fulfilling prophecy - the terms are actually general enough to be fitted to almost anything.

Studying Magick, I got the feeling that there was something to the whole numerology thing, but I finished up with the conclusion that modern alphabets (and dates) have no connection to anything real. It's been too abstracted from what the real meanings of numbers were. Basically, we've finished up with a system that is based on mod 9 (if you noticed - adding 9 to a number, you finish up at the same number (9 + 9 = 18 = 9; 7 + 5 + 9 = 12 + 9 = 3 + 9 = 12 = 3, etc.)

Originally, meanings were assigned to the total (that's why 666 is "the number of the Beast"), and there was a relationship between numbers and letters, but we've switched alphabets a number of times, adding letters and dropping letters, and the original used an Enochian alphabet that no one today can even interpret.

So, conclusion: numerology might once have had a meaning, but today, it's just a form of entertainment, like Tarot card readings and Astrology

No, because there has never been any credible evidence for it. Numerology is not the same as the usage of numbers in literature. For example, in Jewish literature, 7 is a number of completion, so if you see a list of 7 items, it is offered as a complete list.

It doesn't stand up to rigorous scientific examination.
