It depends what you mean by "shift" and it depends what you mean by "soon".

In general, these days, when people ask this kind of question, it is in relation with the fake "predictions" of the Big 2012 Hoax. In such cases, the answer is no.

The Big 2012 Hoax is a re-run of the Planet-X hoax (we all died in 2003) and that hoax already had a "polar flip" as part of its doomsday predictions. The movie "2012" (which is really based on the 2003 version) contains a magnetic polar event... except that Roland Emmerich represents in an hour or so, an event which, in real life, takes centuries to happen.

There are two types of poles: magnetic and rotational. The rotational pole is the "real" pole: the positions, on Earth's surface, where you would be standing right on the axis of rotation. Latitude 90 degrees (North and South, since there are two such positions).

At the South pole, the scientists who are there have planted a "pole" on the exact position of the pole. The North pole is in the Arctic ocean and, if you want to stand on the pole, you have to stand on the ice sheet (the polar cap). Since the ice sheet does move, the physical sign that has been placed there (believe it or not, there are tourists who pay dearly to be flown there, on ski-planes) has to be moved regularly.

This geographical pole does move a tiny bit all the time (everytime there is an earthquake, for example), but these "shifts" are measured in millimetres (tiny fractions of an inch).

The magnetic pole is simply the positions, on Earth's surface, where the Earth's magnetic field happens to be perfectly vertical. Since the magnetic field is generated very deep (in the core-mantle interface) these positions -- there is a north magnetic pole and a south magnetic pole and, often enough, they can split -- are more likely to move. On navigation charts, where the difference between the two "north" directions are indicated, there is always a note to tell the navigator how to apply yearly corrections.
