Beave Village say: Probably similar to dirt on Earth, minus bacteria. Mars is lifeless--no bacteria or any form of organism has been discovered on Mars. If bacteria is ever discovered on Mars, it will likely be the result of humans putting it there inadvertently, or on purpose--with an agenda.

Frank say: Well, since there are no organic compounds...they would taste more like chemical compounds easily whipped up in a lab if you would like to try. Rust...which is why the planet is RED...is IRON-oxide. Go lick a rusted anything...very metallic and tangy.
