well i always have a light period and i figure its becuz im petite so i dont have enough blood to dispose of cuz then i would die so ya im 13 years old im 4''11'' and i weigh 83-85 pounds so how much blood do you calculate i have? Oh and my question has nothing to do with the period comment i made

An adult body has about 5.6 liters (6 quarts) of blood. However you weigh about 85 pounds which is about 38 kilos. According to the second link, girls your weight have about an average of 3.2 liters of blood.

You don't have light periods because you have light blood, it is because you are young and are not producing an egg every month.

Blood accounts for 8% of the human body weight, with an average density of approximately 1060 kg/m3, very close to pure water's density of 1000 kg/m3. average adult has a blood volume of roughly 5 liters (1.3 gal), composed of plasma and several kinds of cells (occasionally called corpuscles); these formed elements of the blood are erythrocytes (red blood cells, RBCs), leukocytes (white blood cells), and thrombocytes (platelets). By volume, the red blood cells constitute about 45% of whole blood, the plasma about 54.3%, and white cells about 0.7%.

Whole blood (plasma and cells) exhibits non-Newtonian, viscoelastic fluid dynamics; its flow properties are adapted to flow effectively through tiny capillary blood vessels with less resistance than plasma by itself. In addition, if all human hemoglobin were free in the plasma rather than being contained in RBCs, the circulatory fluid would be too viscous for the cardiovascular system to function effectively.

For a person weighing approximately 150 pounds, the blood volume is on average about 5 liters or 8.8 pints. If the person is larger or smaller, the blood volume would change accordingly. One liter of volume equals 1.76 pints.

approximately 6 quarts (or 5.6 liters) of blood.

* In one day, your blood travels nearly 12,000 miles.
* Your heart beats around 35 million times per year.
* Your heart pumps a million barrels of blood during the average lifetime -- enough to fill three supertankers.

A normal adult has 6 liters of blood. I'm guessing you have about 4 1/2
