Short term problem, memory loss. Anger, sadness, as in my case trouble paying attention to conversations directed at me regardless of my intention to pay a close ear to whomever is speaking. Weight gain a miserable side effect that does not get better over time.

Many of these answers are from college where I took abnormal Psych.

This is a serious issue and often a marriage breaker. Arguments as you may guess are frequent for some. Others become so self involved they forget that other people's feelings, wants and needs even exist.
This selfishness is a direct response to long term stress and if not kept under control can lead to many abhorrent behavior patterns. Examples; jealousy due to lack of one's respect for the self. out for no apparent reason and is difficult at best to control in many, many cases. Outright violence and physical abuse. Psychological break downs due to constant stress and worry directed at one's self and those that make the stressed person indirectly feel threatened. This generally happens due to a myriad of reasons but mostly because the long term effects of stress as I said previously, these make the sufferer feel less than human. Unable to contribute directly to the needs of the other partners or in too many cases children's wants, needs and physiological state brought by the actions of the individual that is under the pressures stress manifests.
