What are the possible careers in evolutionary biology

Which subjects I have to be good at In high school when planning to choose a career in evolutionary biology?

Biology will not take you far. Most likely, you will not find a job except for professor of Biology. Then, all you will be doing is training more people who will only be able to find a job as a professor of biology. Eventually, it will spread like a disease, and everyone will be a professor of biology. The same thing applies to philosophy. And when everyone is a professor of philosophy or biology...are you ready for this?...then no one will be. That's the kicker!

But yeah, I suggest a different field.

A few important things you need to consider:

>A degree in evolutionary biology does not usually make for many lucrative career choices
>If you wish to pursue such a career, make sure that this is where your passion lies
>To study evolutionary biology, you should at least possess the maximum levels of chemistry, biology, and math possible. (Population genetics, fitness landscapes, and population ecology are quite frustrating topics.)
>Goes without saying, perform well in school. As a science major, accomplishing something in the field of physics wouldn't hurt.
>Choose the right location for college. Don't land yourself in a state that, "Outlaws practice of evolution."
