Genetics question - how to get 6n stock from 2n and 4n

If we have 2n and 4n stocks, then can we grow 6n stock? How ?
As I understand, we have to first get 3n stocks and, in the next step these 3n offspring will produce 3n gamettes. But, how will each of these steps be implemented?

okay, well, you got the first part;

1) cross the diploid with the tetraploid to get triploid(3n) offspring

2) then treat the 3n offspring with colchicine . this will allow it to self fertilize and produce a hexaploid (6n) offspring

Or, is it endomitosis?
