Ok I'd like to make something that either looks cool or makes a loud noise. Any other fire cracker idea's that wouldn't be hard to make would be appreciated. Also could you make one with cap gun caps?

yes, it is possible, but please exercise extreme caution when you make it. Firstly, you'll need plenty of sparklers, since matches and cap gun caps are rather tedious. First scrape off all the powder off a sparkler, then grind it and make it as fine as possible, using a ball mill of a piece of steel and a knife. Then, place it into a solid containers, and compact the powder by adding some alcohol or acetone, until you get a slurry. When the solvent melts you'll bet a compact lump. Add more until you fill the solid container. Then, seal the container and drill a small hole, insert a little fuse into it, and glue it tight. Make sure you tighten every seal in that container, and congratulations, you just got yourself a mini pipe-bomb flashbang-noisemaker. Honestly, that is the least effective and most dangerous way to make a noise-maker, but is the easiest. If you want a safe alternative, you should try getting chemicals like fulminates or picrates yourself
