HELP! FINAL TOMORROW! Don't Understand Organic Compounds!

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-12-21] [Hit: ]
nuts, lipids are needed to maintain homoeostasis. homoeostasis is maintaining body conditions according to the environment. when the environment get cold, the body does not allow your body heat to go away, which is been done by the lipids stored under your skin.......
Please give examples and tell the functions of Carbohydrates, Lipids, Proteins, and Nucleic Acids. Expalin how organic compounds relate to biology and health? And anything else I should know about them.

Carbohydrate: bread, ride, potatoes, etc
carbohydrates are made of large number of sugar molecules... enzymes such as amylase, break down those carbohydrate molecules into glucose, which can be absorbed by the cells

lipids: oily food, nuts,etc
lipids are needed to maintain homoeostasis. homoeostasis is maintaining body conditions according to the environment. when the environment get cold, the body does not allow your body heat to go away, which is been done by the lipids stored under your skin...... iol is broken down into fatty acid and glycerol by lipase enzyme. when these get absorbed by the cells, the cells maintain homoeostasis.

proteins; milk, fruits,etc
allow your hair, nails to grow and repair bone structures. it maintains you true state. for example if you have curly hair, it's the proteins that makes you hhair curly, to make it straight, you have to kill the proteins..

Nucleic acid: DNA, RNA
assential to life. everything about you life is in the neclueic acid....DNA( deoxi ribo- nucleic acid) ... RNA( ribo - nucleic acid)
