In humans, the allele for dimples (D) is dominant to the allele for no dimples (d). At another gene locus, the allele for broad eyebrows (B) is dominant to the allele for slender eyebrows (b). These two allele pairs assort independently. A man who is heterozygous for both traits marries a woman who has no dimples and who is heterozygous at the gene locus controlling eyebrow width.Complete the sentences about this dihybrid cross with the correct terms.

I aswered this question yesterday, but left you to do some of the work. If you're having trouble with it, I'll set it up again and give you a little more help.

Male: DdBb
Female: ddBb

Cross:

DB Db dB db

dB DbBB DdBb ddBB ddBb

db DdBb Ddbb ddBb ddbb

dB DbBB DdBb ddBB ddBb

db DdBb Ddbb ddBb ddbb

You have a population of 16, and you have the genotypes of both parents and all of the possible offspring. You have the possible gamete combinations of both parents also, so you should be able to fill in those answers.

8 out of 16 children have at least one D chromosome, so they will have dimples. That's 1/2 of them.
2 out of 16 have a D chromosome and two b chromosomes. That's 1/8 of them.

I hope this lets you fill in the blanks now.
