What would happen if the bases in DNA strands were connected by a bond other than a hydrogen bond

Each nitrogenous base would be able to form a base pair with any of the other bases.C. It would be more difficult for DNA to unzip since it would require more energy to break the bonds.D. The DNA molecule would be unstable because the two strands would separate more easily.-C.......
I picked "A", im i wrong? because at first i thought it was "C"

A. DNA polymerase would not be able to form complimentary strands of DNA. <-- MY ANSWER

B. Each nitrogenous base would be able to form a base pair with any of the other bases.

C. It would be more difficult for DNA to unzip since it would require more energy to break the bonds.

D. The DNA molecule would be unstable because the two strands would separate more easily.

C.

The purpose of a hydrogen bond on DNA is that DNA Ligase can easily cleave it but it's still strong enough to hold the bases together. By changing it to some other bond it would be much more difficult for DNA to unzip because much more energy would be required.

It's not A because DNA Polymerase forms complimentary strands of DNA after the bonds are already cleaved and this would not be affected by which bond was cleaved since DNA Polymerase isn't the one cleaving the bond :)
