and which is being reduced?3. Which substance is the oxidizing agent, and which is the reducing agent?I would really appreciate any help on this. :)-1) (15.......
1. What mass of NaHS is needed to consume 15.8 g of Sodium Chlorate?
2. Which element is being oxidized, and which is being reduced?
3. Which substance is the oxidizing agent, and which is the reducing agent?

I would really appreciate any help on this. :)

1) (15.8 g NaClO3)*(1 mol NaClO3/106.44 g NaClO3)*(3 mol NaHS/1 mol NaClO3)*(56.07 g NaHS/1 mol NaHS)= im not going to do the math but just plug this into your calculator (no need to divide by the ones)

2) OIL RIG (Oil Is Loss of electrons and Reduction Is Gain of electrons) Sulfur is oxidized because it goes from a -2 charge in NaHS to aa neutral element as S. I don't know about reduction, just look for an element that gains or becomes more negative in charge.

3) NaClO3 is the oxidizing agent because it oxidizes the sulfur. That makes NaHS the reducing agent, but im not sure which element in NaClO3 it actually reduces.
