CO2 is produced. This will be observable as an effervescence of carbon dioxide bubbles.......
Would you be able to determine if K2CO3 was present in a mixture of a solid K2CO3 and KCl If you used only concentrated H2SO4 as a reagent? Explain.

what is it asking and what's the answer help would be greatly appriciated!

-
Yes you could

K2CO3 + H2SO4 ---> K2SO4 + CO2 + H2O
KCl + H2SO4 ---> K2SO4 + HCl

The presence of K2CO3 would be observable as, in the first reaction, CO2 is produced. This will be observable as an effervescence of carbon dioxide bubbles.
