Twice the difference of a number and 17 is 30. Find the answer

Ann is 10 years older than ana. Five years ago, the sum of their ages was 150. How old is ana now?

Before I start can I just say that: / means divide.
Simple:
150/10=15
15x5=75

Ana= 75
Ann=85

Setting up the first equation:

2(x - 17) = 30

Distribute:

2x - 34 = 30

Add 34 to each side:

2x = 64

Divide by 2:

x = 32


Set up the equations:

Ann = 10 + Ana
Ann - 5 + Ana - 5 = 150

Plug the first into the second:

10 + Ana - 5 + Ana - 5 = 150

Solve for Ana:

2Ana = 150

Divide by 2:

Ana = 75 years old

2( x - 17) = 30
x - 17 = 15
x = 32

proof five years ago they were 80 and 70. 80+70=150

X = 32

Ann is 10 years older than Ana so basically just fin any age where the diefference would be 10 years... like 70 and 80 (they would be 75 and 85 now)
