b) 118.Just add up the masses of the atoms in each compound; thats how you find the molar mass.......
PLease show all Calculations! Anything would be great.

a) silver nitrate, AgNO3

b) cobalt (II) carbonate, CoCO3

c) Nitrogen, N

-
CoCO3

One Co = 58.933
One C = 12.011
Three O = 16.00 x 3 = 48.00

58.933 + 12.011 + 48.00 = 118.94 g/mol

N = 14.007

AgNO3

one Ag
one N
three O

Do it just like I did the CoCO3

I use this:

to calculate molar masses. There are others online, so maybe look for one that strikes your fancy.

a) 169.87 grams/mol

b) 118.94 grams/mol

c) 14 grams/mol

Just add up the masses of the atoms in each compound; that's how you find the molar mass.
