Sand Erosion? What Is It Exactly

I've got to do a project about an area of our choice, mine is Surfers Paradise, and the environmental issue is sand erosion, what is sand erosion exactly and is it the same as wind erosion? Cause every time I look up sand erosion all that comes up is ice erosion, wind erosion, water erosion, and that sort of stuff, and the few that are about sand erosion are more about wind erosion, please help cause I'm confused.

Mostly wind, as the particles are fine and easily airborne.
Ice affects rocks more and when the tide goes out the beach usually remains.
