non living is one that does not have life

If you are being serious, the non-living are those that just go about their day to day life and forget to enjoy the important things.

If you are talking like Twilight, the non-living are creatures such as vampires that have no souls but still walk among us.

And in both cases dead is dead, no more life, breath or movement.
