Is the world going to end at 2012 or is it that some guy came up with a theory to fool us?

I will not write much but only a few words..me,,being a Christian DO NOT believe becoz in my Bible its written that even God does not know the Day of Salvation..choice is yours to believe!

The Mayan calendar ends at 2012. It does NOT say that the world will end, or even that there will be a cataclysmic event in the upcoming year. It simply ends. Maybe because that's just how far they got before their society ended, perhaps they didn't care about anything beyond 2012.
The Mayans seperated their calendar into 400 year segments. Every 400 years, they created a drastic event of their own. For example when the end of one of these 400 year segments ended, they abandoned their city, and built a new one from scratch. They just left, because according to their calendar it was time to.
The Mayan culture is a largely unknown one. In the entire world their are only two, TWO mayan documents left. We have no idea, just as they had no idea what was going to happen in the year 2012, aside from position of the stars. They obviously weren't better informed than we are, they're culture is dead. Likely due to famine or disease.

Many people have a lot of theories. I personally want to call bull. I mean it's just something you can't predict. The world could end today or next week. Sure a polar shift could happen, but I think it's nothing we should worry about. Life on earth will end in 5 billion years due to the sun running out of hydrogen and life on earth would be impossible. But by that time our technology should be advanced enough to do something about it. So the world will end but just not now.

The World is not going to end, and yes quite a few people came up with the HOAX and some even use it as a SCAM to get money off of you.
