So, I here people/scientist/science teachers wondering if there is any life sources on other planet. I myself BELIEVE that there are, don't judge me on my beliefs, for they are not known facts. But my question is why, other then curiosity, do we want to find out this information? Do they want us to be moved to a different planet? Like Mars? I have no problem living on Mars, hell I'll get a nice tan there, but, is this why they are trying so HARD to find out if there is life on Mars, and other planets? They found a leaf on Mars, stating that there was a FORM of life on Mars. But they want to know if there is still any left. Please, scientist answer my truly desired question. This would be a great gift to give me for Christmas. :D

1) It helps us understand what kind of conditions support life.
2) It could be a chance for our survival in distant future.
3) It helps us understand the overall theories of how planets are formed.

``They found a leaf on Mars``
Seriously? Never heard of that. Link?

They found dried river beds on mars, and fossilized microbes. They have yet to find any signs of current life.

The pursuit of knowledge is the driving force in this world.

they are probably just curious, i heard that they found life on the planet mars, slight bacteria! pretty fascinating right?
