[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-09-13] [Hit: ]
I have no idea!-Option 1 gas is available at 81, distance is 81 - your location = 81 -67 =14 miles away,Option 2 gas is available at 56, distance is 56- your location= 56 - 67 = -11 miles,The town at milepost 56 is 3 miles closer to you.......
I'm not look for any answer I just need help setting it up.

Suppose that you run out of gas at milepost 67 on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Your map shows a town at milepost 81 and a town at milepost 56. Which is your closest source of gasoline?

Please I need help setting the equation up so I can solve it..I have no idea!

Option 1 gas is available at 81, distance is 81 - your location = 81 -67 =14 miles away,
Option 2 gas is available at 56, distance is 56- your location = 56 - 67 = -11 miles, the - sign means the gas station is behind you 11 miles
The town at milepost 56 is 3 miles closer to you.
