How did they do it without cables?Thank you in advance for any answer. :)-Early telegraph systems such as in the US used a wire suspended on poles, hence the term whispering wires used by the locals at the time. Later land based telegraphy systems and mobile telegraphy systems used radio (wireless) telegraphy, thus dispensing with the need for wires.......
I've also seen that, in Titanic, they were in the middle of the ocean when they sent SOS messages through telegraph.
How did they do it without cables?

Thank you in advance for any answer. :)
