Where are the east and west poles?
Do they even HAVE east and west poles? If they don't then we need to decide where they should be. Logically they should be the opposite of the north and south poles so they should be warm and friendly and not have any iceburgs or penguins or polar bears or eskimos, and they should be really easy to get to. So...

Cymry say: Oh dear! This probably won't help, but 0° Latitude was fixed in London, UK. It then proceeds east and west and is defined in degrees (10° west or 10° east) until 180° in either direction is reached. That is then considered to be half way round the globe. It is known as the International date line, although, it does have some tweaks, partly for convenience and partly due to conquering heroes!

RR say: The East Pole is just outside the Nat West bank in Slough. The West Pole is in a scrap metal yard in Lonyo Ave, Detroit. Neither are good for holidays.

Bill-M say: There is a Geographic North Pole and South Pole that marks the Earth's Axis. The Earth Rotates about the Axis. There is the North and South Magnetic Poles.
But there is no East or West pole. Nothing Geographic to mark such a place, Nothing else in nature to mark such a place.
