How to find the instantaneous rate of change at the tangent point indicated in a graph?!

Do I have to find the function equation or can I just find two points on the tangent and solve it like the average rate of change??

Yeah, all you need to do is find the slope of the tangent line (so as long as you have 2 points on the tangent, it's all good).

-
Take the derivative of the function and plug in your point value.
