combine like terms:

4x+7y=-5xy divide each term by y

4x/y+7=-5x

4x/y=-5x-7

4x=(-5x-7)y

thus y=4x/(-5x-7)

4x + 7y + 5xy = 0

4x=-y(7+5x)

4x/(7+5x)=-y

y=-4x(7+5x)

4x + 7y + 5xy = 0
4x + y(7 +5x) = 0
y(7 +5x) = -4x
y = -4x / (7 +5x)

4x + 7y + 5xy = 0

y(7 + 5x) + 4x = 0

y(7 + 5x) = - 4x
