I am assuming that it is a letter T before number 3 in your 1st question so, just place the numbers on one side and the letters on the other. When switching the numbers or the letters from one side to the other just do the exact opposite function. I am assuming you already know fractions.

1st question: if it is a letter T
= 3 - 1 1/4 < t
= 3/1 -5/4 < t
= 12/4 - 5/4 < t
= 7/4 < t

if not: -5/4 < +3 is true

2nd question: n < 16 4/5 -17
= n < 84/5 - 17
= n < 84/5 - 85/5
= n < -1/5

3rd question: 8 1/3 -1 1/3 < p
= 25/3 - 4/3 < p
= 21/3 < p
= 7 < p

4th question: Q > 1 1/3 - 2 1/2
= Q > 4/3 - 5/2
= Q > 8/6 - 15/6
= Q > - 7/6
= Q > - 1 1/6
