Hi,
Find the central angle to the nearest tenth of a degree that intercepts an arc of length 1 foot on a circle of radius 8 feet.
I know the formula but still I'm a bit confused with this part.
Thanks.

-
theta * r = L

theta is the angle in radians
r is the radius
L is the Arc length

Divide both sides by r and we get

theta = L/r

theta = 1/8

We need to convert this to degrees

180º = π

1/8 * 180º/π = 7.2º
