Should not the odds be good for Life in other parts of the known Universe

The earth, its air, its gravity, its size, its distance to the sun, the suns size,......
Yes, they are.
With the estimated 50 billion planets in our galaxy alone, the possibility of life somewhere is good.
Whether we ever find life elsewhere, whether we even recognize it if we do find it, whether its intelligent - well, that remains to be seen.

The odds are nil. It would require a reproduction of earths exact conditions. The earth, its air, its gravity, its size, its distance to the sun, the suns size, its heat output, its spacial position in the solar system, its position within its galaxy, it chemical compositions, it axis tilt, and a billion other things are required for any plant to support life of any kind. Weather the earth was designed this way by a creator, or by chance, the odds are nil if you actually study our complicated earth. I believe we are one of a kind.

Personally, I don't think humans determine the "odds" for life in the universe. We are gaining grounds in technology and biology in understanding what/where life can possibly exist. As far as I'm concerned it's only a matter of time before we say "YES" with 0% doubt there is life elsewhere.

Yes. That is what most scientists think.
