Pascal's Triangle to Expand Binomials

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-09-25] [Hit: ]
-From your expansion, it seems you problem should read (x+5y)^5.The Pascal coefficients for n=5 are (1,5,10,10,......
I am starting to understand this I think...can someone tell me if my answer is correct?
Problem: (x+5)5
My Answer: x5 + 3125x4y + 25000x3y2 + 12500x2y3 + 3125xy4 + 3125y5
I can't seem to get the subscripts to work on here just go with the number after the letters are the powers.

From your expansion, it seems you problem should read (x+5y)^5.

The Pascal coefficients for n=5 are (1,5,10,10,5,1).

(x+5y)^5

= x^5 + 5x^4(5y) + 10x^3(5y)2 + 10x^2(5y)^3 + 5x(5y)^4 + (5y)^5

= x^5 + 25 x^4 y + 250 x^3 y^2 + 1250 x^2 y^3 + 3125 x y^4 + 3125 y^5
