I need a million dollars what should I do

1) If somebody knew, they wouldn't be telling you.
2) If you could easily win the lottery, everyone would as well.
3) Why do you think the payoff is so big?
4) Probability is very low, if somebody knew the algorithm (assuming one existed), they would be winning and wouldn't share. Would you share if you knew?
5) Nobody NEEDS a million dollars.

In all technicality, there IS a chance of winning, though very small. Just because your first 100 tries doesn't win you the lottery, does not mean your 101st try won't be a win. Still, the odds are low, despite there still being the chance of winning. I see some answers are self contradictory.

best thing to do is join a syndicate and use a plan to spread the winnings but also improve your chances. Instead of doing a line of numbers each, have each person select one number and then use combinations of those numbers across a multitude of lines.
for example:
10 people in a syndicate choose 10 numbers as follows:
1,7,9,11,19,22,34,36,38,39
and lets say u need 6 numbers on a line:
line 1: 1,7,9,11,19,22
line 2: 7,9,11,19,22,34
line 3: 9,11,19,22,34,36
line 4: 11,19,22,34,36,38
line 5: 19,22,34,36,38,39
line 6: 22,34,36,38,39,1 etc. etc... you get the idea :)
this way actually narrows down the chances but if you hit 2 or 3 numbers you get multiple chances on each line to get bigger wins. :)
