............
. A prism has an equilateral triangle with 20 cm on a side for its base, and an altitude of 30 cm. Determine its lateral area.

-
LA = Perimeter * Altitutde

........3(20) * 30

........60 * 30

LA = 1800 cm^2

-
A=area of equilateral triangle with 20 cm on a side
A^2= 30(30-20)(30-20)(30-20)
=30*10*10*10
=30000
A=173.21
ateral area.= 2A+ (20+20+20)*30
=2*173.21+ 60*30
= 1800+346.41
=2146.41cm^2
