Well beauty is in the eye of the beholder, you might see some other concept absolutely logical/beautiful that I wouldn't know much about hence not appealing to me.

If you think that math is arbitrary, you're not being taught correctly. It's perfectly logical. If someone can't explain to you exactly why that = that, it's because s/he doesn't understand it.
Logic is a branch of mathematics, so saying that mathematics isn't logical is contradictory.
