Let L1 and L2 be defined by these vector equations:

L1: R1(s)= i + (4+s)j + (2+s)k

L2: R2(t)= (3+t)i + (1-t)j + (5+2t)k

Find the point of intersection of L1 and L2

So to find where L1 & L2 intersect, work the vectors components, the beauty of vectors, where they are equal.

i: 1 = 3 + t
t = -2

j: 4 + s = 1 - t
s = 1 - (-2) - 4 = -1

k: 2 + s = 5 + 2t (use to verify t & s):
2 + (-1) = 1 ?= 5 + 2(-2) = 1 : yes.

Therefore the intersection of L1 & L2 is at <1, 3, 1>
i = 1 (given by L1)
j = 4 + (-1) = 3
k = 2 + (-1) = 1
