which is wrong.(x-y)^2 = x^2 - 2xy +y^2 not x^2 -2xy -y^2.-Im dont have any paper around... but heres a nifty website that will show you how to do it.......
Please tell me what I am doing wrong from this example? Warning about to prob see crazy dumbness ahead:

(1-i/1+j)^2

= 1-2j-j^2/1+2j+j^2

=2-2j/2j <--not right!

should be - 1 is the answers. Whats my problem? how do i get rid of that +2?

You wrote (-j)^2 = as -j^2 in the Nr. which is wrong.
(x-y)^2 = x^2 - 2xy +y^2 not x^2 -2xy -y^2.
