Could you help me solve this multiple choice question? I think its the first or second choice but I'm not sure. Thanks in advance to anyone who answers, I really appreciate it (:

-
Slope = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
= (-3-4)/(1-1)
= -7/0
Undefined

The slope is undefined (since you can't divide by 0). Lines with undefined slopes are vertical lines.

-
Use the point-slope formula:

m = (y- y1) / (x - x1)

So:

m = (4 + 3) / (1 - 1)

m = 7 / 0

And obviously I hope you know that you cannot have a zero in the denominator. So the answer is "undefined".

-
(y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1) =
[(-3) - (4)] / ( 1 - 1) =

Denominator is 0 so it's undefined.

-
0
because
the equation is x=1
because the x value stays the same throughout both of those numbers
so therefore, it's a vertical line
