x=-b/2a
x=-12/4
x=-3

Try an online graphing calculator or other method to find the shape and vertex. x= 3, y =-31

h (the x-coodinate of the vertex) = -b/2a where a = -2 b = -12 and c = -13

k (the y-coordinate of the vertex) = c -b^2/(4*a)

x = -b/2a

x = (12/-4)

x = 3

-2(3)^2 - 12(3) - 13

-18 - 36 - 13

-67
