Help! I have a 45 45 90 degree triangle with the hypotenuse of 22 what are the length of the sides

and the length of the hyp. is sq. root of 2 times the length of a leg.Drawing pics help!s times sq.s times sq.......
I have a 45 45 90 degree triangle, the hypootenuse is 22, what are the lenghts of each leg of the triangle?

-
Each leg has a length of 11√2.

-
Remember the rules for 45-45-90 triangles: both legs are congruent, and the length of the hyp. is sq. root of 2 times the length of a leg.
Drawing pics help!

s times sq. root of 2=hyp
s times sq. root of 2=22
s= 22 sq rt of 2
----------- times ------------ (You need to get rid of the sq rt of 2 below the 22)
sq rt of 2 sq rt of 2

s= 22 times sq rt of 2
----------------------
2 (sq rt of 2 times sq rt of 2 = sq rt of 4, which is 2)

s= 11 times sq rt of 2

Hope that helped!

45-45-90
x-x-x(sqrt(2))

22=x(sqrt(2))
x=22/(sqrt(2))
simplify
x=11(sqrt(2))
