Logical thinkers, please help me disprove my dad's "spiritual" delusion of levitation!

and and the recollection that she felt weightless.I remember an experiment from when I was younger, where you were supposed to place a stick on your index fingers and try and keep it at the same height overa short period of time. If you measured the height when you first put the stick on your fingers, and the height after a few minutes, it will have inevitably raised a few cm because of something to do with the muscles in your arms that would push it up despite yourself.......
So I'm a devout atheist, and my dad is one of those spiritual, agnostic types. We got into a discussion earlier, in which he told me that one of the main reasons for his belief in "something more" was that he once took part in "levitating" a girl 2 foot off the ground. Apparently he and my mother were in their late teens with someone apparently had previous experience of this "levitation" business. A girl around the same age was lying down on the floor, and 4 people surrounding her, including my mum adn dad, placed both their index fingers just underneath her around her body.
Apparently she was "levitated" off the ground by two feet and started speaking in tongues, when someone was startled and they all dropped her. He believes it was something that science can't explain due to her talking in tongues (which I would blame on her deluding herself into believe this nonsense) and the fact that her whole body was lifted by 8 index fingers, and and the recollection that she felt "weightless".

I remember an experiment from when I was younger, where you were supposed to place a stick on your index fingers and try and keep it at the same height over a short period of time. If you measured the height when you first put the stick on your fingers, and the height after a few minutes, it will have inevitably raised a few cm because of something to do with the muscles in your arms that would push it up despite yourself... But I can't really remember much more than that, or if it's even correct from memory. It seems to me that I could somehow use this to prove my dad wrong, and hopefully open his eyes a little. He's challenged me to, and I know it can be done, I just want to know the best way to go about it. Help please!

Either that or your parents were on drugs....

Bottom line - you will NEVER be able to convince the true believer...
