Help: Finding the Slope!

Use the slope formula involving two ordered pairs to find the slope of the line containing the given points.

1. (0, 1) and (2, 9)

2. (-5, 2) and (4, -4)

Slope of a line is difference in "y" divided by the difference in "x"
1) 8/2 = 4
2) -6/9 = -2/3

Slope of a line is difference in "x" divided by the difference in "y"
1. m = 2 - 0 / 9 - 1
m = 2/8 or 1/4

The second one is the exact same setup.
