n/20 = 3/5.

y/3= 3/5

Two cups of water are used for every 6 cups of flour when making paste How many cups of flour are beeded for 8 cups of water?

-
n/20 = 3/5
multiply everything by 20 to get:
n = 3*20/5
n = 12

y/3 = 3/5
multiply everything by 3 to get:
y = 3*3/5
y = 9/5 (or y = 1.8 if you prefer)

2 water cups for 6 flour cups
ratio = (6 flour) / (2 water) = 3 flour per water
you have 8 cups of water therefore you need:
(3 flour per water)*(8 water) = 24 cups of flour

-
Cross multiply
5n = 3*20 = 60
n = 60/5

You can handle the second one the same way.

For the third, set it up the same as two fractions
2/6 = 8/x

-
the second one is is 24.
